Welcome to the Premier Chamber of Commerce in Kerala

The Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in the year 1857 by a group of nine Englishmen. Having completed 162 years of service to the region’s commerce, industry and trade the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the oldest Chamber of Commerce in the State of Kerala and one amongst the oldest in the country. We are proud of our heritage and legacy which is incomparable. Affiliated to the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), New Delhi, we are also one of its five Promoter Chambers.

CEO Forum: Monthly Breakfast Meets

Started in 2015, the CEO Forum is an initiative of the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry that has seen many eminent speakers from different walks of life address the Member CEOs of the Forum on a variety of subjects over the past two years. The talks at the CEO Forum Breakfast Meetings are by subject experts on topics that are relevant to the industry. The monthly meetings are held on the first Friday of every month at the Taj Gateway Hotel, Ernakulam.

Annual Post Budget
Analysis

The Chamber organizes Annual Post Budget Analysis meetings immediately following the presentation of the Union Budget in Pariament. These sessions give the participants a broader and clearer picture of the implications of the announcements made in the Union Budget each year.

Annual Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Memorial Lecture

The Cochin Chamber organises an Annual Memorial Lecture to pay tribute to, and remember one of the greatest visionaries that this country has seen, the People's President, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam.

Workshops and Seminars

The Cochin Chamber is a pioneer in organising Seminars and Workshops on various subjects. Management Development Programmes (MDP) are conducted on a regular basis. The Chamber also conducted a series of Workshops on the Goods & Services Tax (GST) ever since it was announced that India would be moving to this new regime.

Management Development Programmes

The Chamber organises bi-monthly ‘Management Development Programmes’ on a variety of topics aimed at:

  • Understanding the characteristics of effective and ethical leadership in higher education.
  • Learning how to develop and lead high-functioning teams and function as a change agent.
  • Analysing financial data and understanding how funds are allocated and budgets are created.
  • Understanding optimal role in planning initiatives.

Health Talks/Medical Camps

The Chamber organises talks on Health-related matters for its members on a regular basis. These programmes are conducted to create awareness on lifestyle related diseases and the importance of a Healthy Lifestyle, Work-Family Life Balance, Time Management, the importance of Proper Sleep and Relaxation Techniques. The Chamber also partners other trade organisations in organising Blood Donation Camps/Health Check-ups etc. as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
