The Cochin Chamber of Commerce & Industry arranged a Breakfast Session for the CEO Forum on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013  on Friday, 3rd July 2015 from 8:00 a.m. “ 10.00 a.m. at the Gateway Hotel, Marine Drive, Cochin. Mr. Shaji Varghese, Vice President “ CCCI & Chairman, CEO Forum welcomed and introduced the speaker. Mr. V. Venugopal, Executive Committee Member delivered the Vote of Thanks. Ms. K. Sribhoomi Yesaswini, Advocate, Kasturi Associates, Bangalore was the subject Speaker to guide the participants on the importance of the adherence to the guidelines laid down by the Act and the penalty associated with any default in this regard. Mrs. Yesaswini, in her well structured presentation explained the Act and explained the importance of complying with it. She also discussed about the formation of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in organizations and the various steps to be taken in case of complaints from Women employees. The session came to a close by 10 am with the Networking Breakfast and was attended by more than 25 Chief Executives from Cochin.
